Since wrath is so close to release I've been working on achievements rather than grinding away in instances.

I was fishing in IF when I found out that the daily fishing quest was Crocolisks in the City.  This quest drastically increases your chances of catching Old Crafty in Orgrimmar, plus I needed to fish 'something' up there for the Fishing Diplomat quest so I decided to head that way.  Those of us in IF had been pretty amicable towards Hordies in IF trying to get their achievement, so I figured what the heck.

I didn't know that this darn fish can be caught in either pool in Org, so I decided to try to make my way all the way to the back of the city.  The Hordies have to go all the way to the back of IF after all.  I stripped down just outside the gates and ran in the back door.  Died.  I ran back in just a few short minutes and rezzed and made my way further in.  Died.

At least now I was pretty far out of the range of the guards!  Rezzed again and missed my turn.  Hey look!  There's the Orgrimmar bank.  Wow, there sure are a lot of people here..... Died.  Hmm, I'll try to be sneaky.  I'll wait until people aren't all that close I may make it more than 20 feet.  Died.

OK, I got a few more feet, that should help.  Woot!  Oh wait, never mind, that S2 Tauren Warrior was camping my corpse.  Why in the world doesn't fear work on anyone any more?  Hmm, just a little more and I'm out of the crowd.

By then Anniandre had convinced me that the Horde MUST think that I'm a Gnome and were trying to have a nice game of punt-the-gnome with me.  Maybe all that living in a cave has messed up their eyesight or something because I'm a good 8 inches taller than any Gnome and I have a beard that's admired by many a bar maiden.

Well, this time I took Anni's advice and when I rezzed I loudly informed them that I wasnt a Gnome.  While it seemed that the general population of the Horde heard and understood me, the guards were nowhere near as nice.  Died.

Rezzed and ran into the last chamber, hey look!  Frost dragons!  Why are there so many?  Hmm, there are lots of Hordies here fighting them, maybe I can slip by them in all the distrac... Died.

Woohoo!  Finally made it to the little secret hidey fishy spot.  Caught Old Crafty and the baby crocolisk on the first cast.  Hey look it only took an hour and a half or so...

As a fishing diplomat I feel the need to report to my fellow Alliancians that the Horde really need to work on their social skills.  I mean seriously.  Dude.  There I am tryin to help a brotha out with the fish and what do I get?  A big old fashioned beat-down and eventually a fish.  They could have at least beat me with the fish at the start and saved me a bunch of time, but no.

The daily fishing quest bug works on Old Crafty?  Wow, I hope that daily comes up again before they fix the bug.   

And yes, the fishing spot near the side entrance to the city does count for The Fishing Diplomat, though that's also the portal zone-in point for the city, and there's no good cover, so I wouldn't recommend it for an extended fishing session anytime during peak hours.
