Raid Food
I believe that a person's raid snack of choice tells a lot about them. What do you KoHers have while you quest/raid?
Chips/Pretzels (you salty dog you)
Nuts (you are what you eat)
Candy (cause I'm not sweet enough)
Chocolate, and lots of it!
Fruit/Veggies (good and wholesome)
Popcorn
Donuts/Doughnuts
Cake and/or Pie
Other
I don't eat, it distracts me from killin'

  • KoH Joint Raiding Guidelines  |  Tuesday, September 30, 2008 - 8:41 AM
The following Instancing and Looting guidelines were agreed to by the officers of KoH and should be reviewed by other guilds interested in joint raiding with KoH.

  • Joint runs will be scheduled for 25 person content and occassional 10 person content
    • Start times are typically 4:30 server, which works the best for a majority of KoH'ers.
    • Runs may be scheduled on KoH's calendar for signups
    • If you are signed up, please be at the instance 10 minutes prior to the start.
    • We zone in promptly at the start time to give us maximum time and attempts
  • We will have chat channels for each function during 25 person content. This is important!
    • Tanking     channel is   kohtank  (Warrior, Paly, Druid)
    • Healing      channel is   kohheal   (Priest, Shammy, Paly, Druid)
    • DPS          channel is   kohdps    (Rogue, Shammy, Warrior, Mage, Warlock, Druid, Erithias)
    • In large groups we may set up specific class channels for buffing assignments etc.
    • The Raid leader will select a person to be in charge of each channel before the raid starts
    • To create a channel, use one of the above, or to join an existing channel, use /join [channel name]; so if you are a healer, type  /join wootheal
    • In general, the person in charge of the channel will create it before the start of the raid.
    • One person will be in charge of each channel and that group (for healing assignments, tanking etc)
    • Please join your channel to receive task specific information and assignments
    • Running a 25 person raid is a lot of work. We want the Raid Leader to have fun as well, so you can help by being responsible and joining your channel and knowing your duties.
    • Let us repeat:   YOU are responsible for joining the channel and knowing what is going on through channel communications.
    • If you have assignment questions, please post them IN YOUR CHANNEL first. Let the channel manager communicate with the RL.
    • If you are the Channel Manager, it is YOUR responsibility to communicate to the channel and handle buffing assignments etc. We suggest you assign someone in the class to handle specific duties;  i.e.  You are a Hunter in charge of the /wootranged channel. Ask one of the Mages to set up Mage AB buffing assignments.
    • Try as best you can to NOT whisper the RL. Communicate in channel chat first.
  • We will be using the KoH Ventrilo server. The KoH server is setup for both Mac and PC access and has a high bandwidth. We will share access info with your officers prior to the raid, so you can get your raiders signed up.
  • Loot info
    • RL will assign the Master Looter duty
    • Rules:
      • Loot can be rolled on ONLY if it's an upgrade
      • If you win loot, you may not roll again for other loot, unless everyone passes on it. Then it's a free roll for all
      • Be courteous and thoughtful i.e don't roll for [Healer's Wazmo Trinket of Mana Regen] if you are Melee.
    • In general, we offer loot to the class/spec that it's most appropriate for. As a guideline, we use htttp://www.wowl-loot.com to determine who is eligible.
    • Please be courteous to others in your class;  i.e. if you are a Shadow Priest please let the Holy Priests have first shot at healing gear.
  • General guidelines
    • Keep voice chat to a minimum
    • DO NOT announce you are dead in voice chat. Trust us, we will know when you are dead.
    • We will have scheduled AFK's during the event, and the RL will determine when they will be. In general, about once and hour is the rule of thumb.
    • If you need to AFK, announce it in Raid Chat. Please be mindful of when you are AFK, and the duration of your AFK. AFK's are generally frowned upon. If you AFK it is very likely we will make fun of you. Then pick on you. If you do it enough, you won't be invited back and you'll miss all of this cool content. That would be sad.
    • We are doing this to have fun, so have fun!
  • Preparation
    • We spend a lot of time explaining fights. That time could be better used to actually DO the fight instead of talking about it. You can help minimize the explanations by reading through the fight explanation BEFORE the fight.
    • We are posting strategy guides here on the KoH general forums.
    • Wowiki and Wowhead are great resources for material as well.

Don't worry about it Jay, Warlocks don't have feelings!  I have undisputable proof of it, I just left the documentation in another set of armor.

Oh, and Saffie, you need to get in line.  There's a reason E has been avoiding Kara runs when I've been on!

Well, at last I 've got someone to share all the pain with, hang in there "E". Warlocks are the most misunderstood folks around. Of course they pick on us because we are so lovable.    And as far as feelings go ANNI, I have not forgot you sitting on my head in BRD the other night while I was being LAST to be rezzed. What goes about, comes about. rofl! muahhhahahahaha

Me?  avoiding Kara runs?   Since I don't have the authority to pick and chose who is in the run I think it's more likely you are avoiding running with me.... hmmmm I think someone might be building groups to feed a rogue ego?

I don't know, I'm just sayin, things look a little odd from the shadows muahahahahaha!!!

it's about time us locks started getting some respect around these parts!!!
